Analysis: 2016 Global Online Shopping Holidays
eCommerce spending had a record-breaking November, anchored by the three major global online shopping holidays during the month: Singles’ Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. The expansion of the online channel and it’s always-open storefront has blurred the lines between distinct deal days for shoppers. Now brands are extending their sales for weeks (or even months) on end. Some brands are even taking a page out of Amazon’s Prime Day playbook to maintain shopper interest by rotating the promotion mechanic, assortment, or individual products on discount during the sale period.
